Default Embed Font into Existing PDF

    Hi All,

Is it possible to embed a font into an existing PDF file? The file was created without embedding the fonts and there is a specific font that needs to be embedded so the document is readable.

    Acrobat Pro 6.0
    Windows XP

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Default Re: Embed Font into Existing PDF

If you have the font installed on your system then you can embed the font. If you don't then you can't.

With the font on your system as Dorian indicated, you have 2 choices (I think). One is to print to PDF again and have the font embedding turned on. The other for selected fonts is to select the font characters, select the attributes, and then check the embed box. I think this will work, but am not sure. Reprinting is probably faster, but any links and such may be lost.

Unless, of course, you want the font to be used in a form field.
If this is the case, I too would be happy to know how to go about, provided that the font is copy protected.
