    Default Embedded Font Problem, HELP!

    Hello All,

I am trying to make a movie in Director and embed a font so that when I put the published Shockwave file on the internet, viewers will be able to see the movie as I envision it if they don't have that font. (Adobe Garamond). I embed the font just like the manuals tell me and then the font (stylized) appears in the cast window. All looks great to me after I upload the shockwave file, but when I go to the library (PC's) I go to the site, the movie plays fine, but a different font is substituted and the movie is ruined. Possibly this is just another glitch in the program???????????????? You can see what I mean if you go to:

Also, the dots on the services segment do not line up in explorer but they do in safari and netscape. (You'll see what I mean if you look).

Thank you in advance for any and all help you can give me.

    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth

Default Re: Embedded Font Problem, HELP!

Systems with security locked system directories (likely at a public
library) the embedded font may fail to get temporarily installed in the
    system.

    Alternatives:

Use prerender, save as bitmap options (file size consuming)

Or import text in a Flash member, Flash's vector snapshot fonts don't
rely on system font services like embedded director fonts.

When you typed in the text and selected the font did you select the
font with the astrick next to it? [* Adobe Garamond]. Did you use
    bitmaps or sizes?
