Embedded links open on Mac BUT not a PC-any fix?
I have converted a book (using MSWord 2004) to pdf (Acrobat Professional 7.0) and each chapter has embedded links to web sites. The links work when viewing on a Mac but NONE of them will open on a PC. Any fix to this problem? I have read all of the posts written about embedded links that I can find and see nothing just like this problem posed and answered. BTW: I wrote to a thread on this topic that I have found that to view embedded links on a Mac each URL MUST have the <http://www>. in front (have one in all of these documents that doesn't have this front stuff and it will not open-I'm not inclined to correct on 20 chapters as these are in the footer which has two different versions). Thanks for any help. Gail

Open Document Properties, click on the advanced tab and enter a base url. Perhaps that will help.
