embedding e-mail addresses
I'm trying to embed e-mail addresses into a pdf for distribution. I know I can use "mailto:___" with "open a web link" but it's somewhat clunky for anyone using, say, Eudora instead of their browser for e-mail. Is there another way?

Re: embedding e-mail addresses
Mailto will always pass through the browser first because it's an html command. And using mailto won't open a new web based email like Hotmail or Yahoo mail anyway.
the other method is a JavaScript (See the Acrobat JavaScript guide or search the forum for the syntax). It won't work with web email clients either.
Either way is probably a hit and miss proposition. It will work for most users, but will inevitably fail for others.

Re: embedding e-mail addresses
I thought it would end up being something like that. Thanks for the reply.
