EPS and circular text paths
Hello everyone,
Here's my problem of the day (or hour..)
I have a circular text path (and a bunch of other stuff within it) in a square file 300mm by 300mm. The circle text path is something like 265x265mm. Fine. But when I export the file as an EPS, for some reason the new document has a ton of extra transparent space around the artwork. The circle is no longer 20mm from the edge, but more like 100mm. If I create outlines from the type then the results are expected and the document size stays the same.
Any ideas why this is happening, or more importantly how to make it stop?
Thanks in advance!
Anson

Re: EPS and circular text paths
Sorry, I can't help. I know there was a size problem when using crop mark, but that was in an early version of AI10 I think.
So that can't be your problem.

Re: EPS and circular text paths
There is not transparency to speak of. I think. I mean, its just black lines on white, the white becomes transparent in the eps. Would I need to flatten anything? How does one flatten transparency?

Re: EPS and circular text paths
No you don't need to flatten, I was just wondering if you were flattening the art in a low resolution to get the extra space around the art.

Re: EPS and circular text paths
Oh well. I gave up and am doing all the type in Quack. Funny enough, the kerning and tracking looks better, too. What can you do?
