eps cannot be placed in InDesign CS (no filter found)

Hi,

I have got an eps-logo, which my provider says she has tried placing in InDesign without problems. I, however, cannont open or place her file. InDesign says: "cannot place this file. No filter found for requested operation". I have tried InDesign Help, but it seems only to be about text files.

When I have tried opening the file in Illustrator, it says: "Unknown format"...
(I use Win XP.)

I have a lot of other eps'es in my documents, which work fine!

Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like you have a corrupt file on your hands. How was it supplied
to you?

Hi Bob,

It was sent to me several times (by e-mail) and in several different formats, but I havn't been able to open any of them (ai+eps+tif).

My supplier works (on mac, I believe) in a advertising agency so she has tried this many times before and she claims that she has saved the logo for pc and she is able to successfully open the files on a pc...

Tell her to ZIP it before e-mailing.

Don't tell her to "try again"; tell her to "ZIP the file before e-
mailing".
