Default eps export problem: BoundingBox rounded coordinates

    Hi,

I'm having a horrible time with exporting eps from FreeHand, and
importing it back into Adobe FrameMaker (or other programs as well).

What I do is create a very simple solid background that is the same
exact size as the page (european format, even number of millimeters,
not inches, mind you...), but when I import in into the page in
FrameMaker, it is not of the nice even size, but it gets oddly
stretched of some tiny fraction of millimeter, so that I get an ugly
white gap running all along the side of the image.

As far as I understood this is due to the fact that BoundingBox
specifies coordinates that must be rounded to the integer, and for
some reason FreeHand does not write the HiResBoundingBox (like Adobe
products do) that does not suffer from this limitation.

Now, since this looks like a fairly known problem, and I imagine a lot
of people are in the same situation as mine, I wonder:

Is there a way that I can get my image correctly imported,
*without* after having to fix it manually?

Since this step is part of an automated procedure, it is vital for me
to get it right without having to go and play visual tricks like
manual alignment and stuff like that.

I really hope someone has an answer for me.

    Thanks!!

Default Re: eps export problem: BoundingBox rounded coordinates

I see this problem alot, it was a pain for me because I often had to line up
map components and I was not able to due to change in size. Now I use
Ilustrator whenever I am in this type of situation.
