EPS in Quark - white background?
I have a black logo created in Illustrator that I need to take into Quark and float over a photo background. So, I am looking to find a way to isolate the logo from the background. I saved the logo as an EPS, but when I brought it into Quark, the white background appeared.
I know that in Photoshop one uses the clipping paths and so, also following previous discussions, tried to apply these in Illustrator as well. I don't seem to be doing it right tho, as each time I try, it eliminates the black in the logo and when I save and then open it in Quark, there is nothing but a big white square.
Sorry all if this is a repeat-- I tried to follow all the previous discussion on similar problems but am still having trouble.
Thanks so much,
Kim

Re: EPS in Quark - white background?
By the way, I am using Illustrator 10 in OS X.
Also,I'd rather do this in Illust. than Photoshop in order to get the clean lines of the vector prgram. Thanx.

Re: EPS in Quark - white background?
Solved problem!
For anyone else who needs to know:
Yes, Illustrator defaults to a transparent background. Must make sure that when object is imported in Quark, the runaround is off and that the object is made transparent.
