    Default eps nightmare

    hi,

hope you all can help me. I'm having problems with exporting .eps from illu 10 on the pc.

Basically Im placing images which are linked. Then exporting as an eps and unchecking 'include linked files'.

But when i export the file the eps is huge 50 meg! the linked image is only 12 meg.

Has anyone experienced this? I've never had this problem before and it's starting get on my nerves.

Two things you can do to reduce file size.

    1) Delete all unused swatches, brushes, styles and objects
    2) Uncheck PDF compatible file.

and check to see if you have something hanging out somewhere on your artboard (an extra copy of your artwork-type, a photo you decided not to use! I've pulled this stunt before!

    hi,

hope you all can help me. I'm having problem with the printout between Illust. 9 (9.02) & Illust. CS. The color seems darker with CS.
I'm using Epson Stylus Color 740 to print, & using/created my own color chart (*.ai).

    PC's spec:--

    Dell PC -- P4 2.8 GHz
-- WinXP (SP1) - patchup to latest update.
    -- Illust. CS
    -- Ram 512 MB
-- Display Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
    -- HD 80G

    IBM Compatible PC -- P4 2.8 GHz
-- WinXP (SP1) - patchup to latest update.
    -- Illust. 9 (updated to 9.02)
    -- Ram 512 MB
-- Display Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
    -- HD 80G

    T U very much.

See post #16 in this thread <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?128@@.3bb45c2b>

Saving EPS from AIv10 will embed, no matter what you do.

PDF compatibility is not an option when saving EPS.

BTW: When you say you are "exporting" EPS, I presume you mean "saving" EPS.
