Default Epson 3000 RIP 4.51 - No seperation options

Whats up with the lack of seperation printing options for Freehand 10,
when printing via the Epson 300 Stylus Rip 4.51 software?

I'm on the Newest Powerbook G4, OSX 10.2.7

    Epson says it Freehands issue.

How can I be printing Seperations on the Epson 3000.

    Thanks Mike

    Mike,

Are any of the PostScript options available, i.e. does the Setup button
appear. This is where you would normally choose PPDs, add crop marks,
etc. There have been some issues of those options not being available
in OS X with FH. I believe the solution was to make sure that you had a
PS printer ad your default printer. But go through the old threads to
    be sure.

wait a minute...I spoke too soon.

Mike - There is not Epson RIP for OS X. I just checked and according to
Epson the latest version is 4.0.

And I believe that the version compatible with the Epson 3000s is even
    lower.

And none of them run in OS X.

So what exactly are we talking about here?

There is an Epson Sylus 3000 RIP version 4.51

I figured out most of the 4.51 menus though I remain unable to find a menu to print Seperations.

I finally gave up as Epson says its a Freehand issue.

As you mentioned the Older version seems to work best - Version 3.3 for Mac, so I've figured out that one for now.

    At least I'm working again.

    Thanks

    Mike

But is it OS X native/compatible?

Yes the Epson Stylus Rip 3.3 is Native though I'm running in OS9 classic when printing. I'm still working in OSX until printing. The menus were hard to figure out but I've got it working.

If you are running in Classic then that is not OS X native. You are
using the OS 9 printing system not OS X, and 3.3 is definitely not OS X
native as it was developed before OS X (1998). If there really is a
4.51 I would be very interested in being pointed in the direction of it
for download/purchase. I just don't see how it's possible considering
the Epson web pages I linked to earlier.
