Error: "failed to install ISKernel files"
Hi,
I am trying to install Contribute 3 onto a Win Vista machine. I get the below
error:
"Failed to install ISKernel files. Make sure you have the appropiate
privileges on this machine"
Can anyone shed some light as to what I need to do to install??
Thanks

Re: Error: "failed to install ISKernel files"
Hello
Ran into this while trying to re-install Captivate after getting Vista.
Annoying user roles issue. I disabled it altogether to get past it. Not sure if
there is an easier root.
If you have no other options just disable it and re-enable after re-boot and
install.
run msconfig
go to tools tab
scroll to "Disable UAE" and start it
done.

Re: Error: "failed to install ISKernel files"
Thanks Alexd181!
I will save this for when we upgrade to Vista. However, it seems that our
techs did not log on as Administrator when they were installing Contribute on
some workstations. I just didn't believe that was possible.

I just installed the 3.11 update and all went OK.
