Error: Invalid class string
I am facing a problem with MAPI.SESSION for server.createobject in a ASP
page. I am getting a message as "Invalid class string".
I checked up the registry and found no entry for the same. So I used
regsvr32 and registered the cdonts.dll file. But even then there is no entry
in the registry and I am getting the same error in the asp script.
can someone please guide me.
TIA,
Gary

RE: Error: Invalid class string
Hi Gary,
Try registering CDO.dll
If that doesnt work post a snippet of your code if you could.

Re: Error: Invalid class string
What is MAPI.SESSION?
If you are attempting to send an email using the installed SMTP Service you
should be using CDO or CDONTS

Re: Error: Invalid class string
Hi Gary:
You get 'Invalid Class String' error in Server.CreateObject, when the Server could not find the registered Component in Registry.
Did you register your component? If it is a thirdparty tool like Persits ASPEMail, then the installation program would automatically do that for you when you are logged on with an account having Administrator Privileges.
Did this help you?
