Error message?

I have D8 setup with Contribute3.11, everythings works fine. But when I go to
check in a file from Dreamweaver, I get a message saying: "The required file
for Contribute compatibility does not exist on the server. Would you like to
turn off Contribute compatibility?." Well, no I would'nt ss I click no. I still
seem to be able to open the page in Contribute and edit it.

Could someone tell me how to configure the beast so that I have a correct
setup?

Problems arose for us when we clicked "yes" in the "enable site settings for
compatibility with Contribute sites" dialog, so now we click "no" every time it
comes up. We're still able to use Contribute.

I just deleted the site and recreated it and it worked.
