I'm having a similar issue where my users get a "document in use" error. The only way I can get it to stop it to reset IIS. Very annoying.

Hi, NateWeb, How do you reset the ISS? I am also having a similar problem. The
error message reads 'you are unable to edit this page because it is currently
being edited by *me*), which is definately not the case. Thanks

Log into your web server or machine that has IIS on it. Open command prompt and run the command 'iisreset'. You can also do it though IIS Manager by stopping and starting your website.
