    Default ERROR - Need help please

    Hi - I am hoping someone can shed some light on this error. Basically I am
    trying to set a WHERE statement using a SESSION variable. This works fine on
    my local machine (CF Development Version 7). When I post the page to my server
    I get the following error:

    <b>
    Error Executing Database Query.
    [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters. Expected 1.

    The error occurred in D:\home\hnt26b040\dealer\newline\newlines.cfm: line 118

    116 : </table></cfoutput>
    117 : <cfquery name="newlines" datasource="amsnews">
    118 : SELECT * FROM newlines, amsSettings, brands WHERE
    newlines.newlinesSeriesID = "#SESSION.auth.NewLinesNo#" AND
    newlines.NewLinesBrand = brands.BrandsTitle ORDER BY newlines.NewLinesTitle DESC
    119 : </cfquery>
    120 : <cfquery name="newLinesLinks" datasource="amsnews">
    </b>

    Any ideas on what the problem could be? Thanks in advance. Brad

    First thing is that you do not have a join statement for the amsSettings table

    Next I would suggest coping the entire query and pasting above the cfquery
    tag, but enclose in cfoutput tag
    This will show you the complete query. I would guess the session variable
    value is being lost.

    I normally hit that error when I'm trying to address a field that doesn't exist in one of the tables. That would be my first check.

    In addition to the missing correlation between the amsSettings table and at
    least one of the other tables per Ken's suggestion (which will give you a
    Cartesian join if unresolved), you should either remove the double quotes from
    the #SESSION.auth.NewLinesNo# parameter if it is numeric, or use single quotes
    if it is a text field ('#SESSION.auth.NewLinesNo#')

    I think it is the double quotes.
    It should either be single quotes or no quotes at all(if it is numeric)
