Tom and all others... We were running on a Windows XP machine. We moved to a
Windows 2000 Server, and it disappeared right away. We could not get anything
to work. We couldn't use other Windows servers due to the academic security
concerns, so Win 2000 Server it was. Perhaps it is a problem with a non-server
machine, I don't know. Perhaps moving to Windows 2000 Server meant that some
setting somewhere was reset. I don't know. Good luck. Jeff

These 2 errors cropped up again this morning, bringing both my once-redundant
servers down right in time for a scheduled presentation. These are both (and
always have been) win2k servers, and not XP. As with the earlier incidents, I
received both errors interchangably, and only a full server reboot corrected
the problem. As with the earlier incidents, the servers had both been running
a long time with no problems (at least a month). As with the earlier
incidents, other CFMX servers on the same network showed no problems connecting
to the same datasources on the same db server. There are two things I notice
now that I didn't before: 1. we had scheduled DB downtime yesterday. So for
a period the JDBC drivers were making a limited amount of calls to the server
that weren't being returned, which would seem to fit with the 'no more buffer
space', 'maximum connections?', 'cannot connect to socket' errors. 2. These 2
servers are using a cfapp tag with clientmangement on a DB client store. All
of my other servers are using clientmanagement on a registry store. This time
the app was specifically failing on the db call by the cfapplication tag.
    Hope this helps. -Jeff

We are having the same issue. Has anybody found the cause and/or fix for this???

I can add that our servers are running IIS in Windows 2000, running MX 6.1.
Although I hate to admit that the servers do not have the updater installed and
are using the registry for Client storage. Not sure if this is related to the
issue or not. I recommeneded to my bosses to perform these upgrades, but they
feel the issue is not related to this (I don't fully agree.....(grin))

    Any help appreciated!!
