Error opening PM file
I found some ancient publications I would like to view but InDesign gives me an error about a missing plug-in. To be specific, the message says Cannot open the file "11-07e.pm5". Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application.
My question is; how do I open pm5 files if not even my PM 7 will open them? I've also tried with ID CS PM version but that doesn't work either.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate this.
TIA,
Gabriel

I don't have 6.5 :/ I will have to check with the IT dept to see if they have the older CDs in the bone-yard but I doubt it.

Re: Error opening PM file

Ok, I tried using the menu "File>Open" in PM 7 and that works! I thought it wouldn't work because the files do not have associations and when I double clicked the files in explorer it just gave me that dialog about "Windows cannot open this file". I've associated the files with PM7 and everything is working great now.
Thanks!

Re: Error opening PM file
I didn't suggest PM7. Never had it.
We did the conversion from PM6.5 three years ago.
So everything is cool now.
