I also get the message when trying to print to PDF from Access 2003: %%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
%%[ Error: rangecheck; OffendingCommand: endcidrange ]%%
and the font I use throughout my Access report is Times New Roman. As above, when I delete the vertical text I don't get the error. Any other ideas?

If you have this Arial Unicode MS font installed on your system then try removing it - it can be reinstalled from the Office CD.

Some applications reference fonts even though the font is not used in the document in question.
