error tracing in director - Macromedia Director Lingo

hi. im working on shockwave project that relies on data obtained by getNetText() the data is coming from a php file and uses the sessions variables.. this prevents me from testing it directly in director as there is no session running and no data is returned what i want to know is, is there any way to get more verbose errors than the simple "this movie has errors, please contact the author blah blah" cheers Greg Brant...

    Default error tracing in director

    hi. im working on shockwave project that relies on data obtained by
    getNetText()
    the data is coming from a php file and uses the sessions variables..

    this prevents me from testing it directly in director as there is no session
    running and no data is returned

    what i want to know is, is there any way to get more verbose errors than the
    simple

    "this movie has errors, please contact the author blah blah"

    cheers

    Default Re: error tracing in director

    here's some vague info...

    you can copy the Director.ini file from the application's folder to the
    web browser's shockwave plugin folder, renaming the file shockwave.ini

    there is a setting you can uncomment to get more verbose messages

    if getstreamstatus works with getnettext you might use it to gather more
    info....
