Error when using ldap query
I am trying to do an LDAP query an AD group. I already have one that queries
the same server, and works. But on my new query I get the following error that
I can not figure out:
An error has occured while trying to execute query :[LDAP: error code 32 -
0000208D: NameErr: DSID-031001CD, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match
of: 'OU=Visn 07,DC=v07,DC=med,DC=va,DC=gov' ].
The query is as follows:
<cfldap action="QUERY"
name="AdminResults"
attributes="sn"
start="OU=Users,OU=VHA07 msg2 users, OU=Visn 07,DC=v07,DC=Med,DC=va,DC=Gov"
scope="SUBTREE"
filter="(&(objectClass=user)(sAMAccountName=#trim( nt_user_id)#))"
server="serverdc1"
UserName="bba07\username"
Password="password">
Any ideas on where this error is coming from?

When it says "A non-existent DN specified in the User Search field", what does it mean by DN?

Re: Error when using ldap query
Been a while since I've used LDAP ... but its like a key you're using to access
the information. http://www.pinds.com/blog/one-entry?entry_id=2882 has a good
definition and some examples
From http://www.pinds.com/blog/one-entry?entry_id=2882
"A directory contains objects, or entries. Each entry has a Distinguished Name
(DN), that acts as the entry's primary key. The entry could be:
uid=lars, ou=persons, dc=arsdigita, dc=com "

Re: Error when using ldap query
Hmm, strange. I just tried it and had no problem. You could also enter "http://www.pinds.com/blog/one-entry?entry_id=2882" (without the quotes) into google and select "Show Google's cache" option.
