Error with Contribute 3 on Windows Vista

With Contribute 3 on Windows Vista, does anyone know if anything can be done
about the following error:

Run Contribute with elevated permission and see if it works. Contribute 3 is not supported on Vista officially, however it works fine for lot of people.

Per the instructions, I upgraded to Contribute CS3 but now I have a problem. I
cannot administer my sites - Dreamweaver reports a WebDAV user error. I tried
to connect with Contribute CS3 and it plain crashes.

I recommend NOT moving to CS3 - I believe there is a problem storing the
connection properties.

Thanks for your post but I dont understand the bit about elevated permissions,
I can't get it to install, same problem as Lukaro. Hope you can help.

I have just spent 30 minutes trying to enter passwords/combine
adobe/macromedia profiles/choose nicknames/elongate passwords and all other
kind of crap on this site so apologies for my bad temper :-(

I've got the same problem. Adobe support are hopeless since they bought
Macromedia. "We don't support Contribute 3 any longer. You'll have to upgrade
to CS3". Downloaded CS3 trial. Same problems. "Sorry, we don't support trial
versions of products" What a bunch of wankers. How the hell do they expect
anyone to buy their products if 1. they don't work and 2. they don't support
them. I'll find something else to buy from now on.

Interested to hear that Contribute 3 is as awful on Windows as it is on the
Mac. I remember when Adobe wrote good software and provided excellent free
telephone support. Now they repackage rubbish they've acquired elsewhere and
then try to charge you to confirm that it doesn't work. The more people that
kick up a stink about this the better. I'm going to write to all the Mac mags
that have reviewed CS3.
