Default Errors on Website with Flash Video

Me again. I finally got my video into the webpage, and I can preview it with
F12 and it works fine, but once I open other websites, it downloads, but with
errors. I tired Internet Explorer and Mozilla. I have tried the link checker
and and stuff but I don't see any problems. How do I find out what is wrong
with this page on the internet?

I still have detached that page from the template, but it doesn't take much
time to reattach it. Now that you mention it, I will lose all future value.
But I didn't know how to get around the first problem.

Do you have a version of this page that is not detached from the template?
Please post a link to it.

And can you tell me what the problem is with the Flash again, please?

I have updated the site. it is now attached to the template, so it wouldn't let me insert the video.

I see. What you will have to do is to insert the video on a dummy page that
is not a template child, and then copy the relevant bits over to this page
manually.

You mean copy the code from the dummy page and insert it into the template? I
am not familiar with code, so I am not sure if there is a certain place in the
code that this needs to be inserted. I will try it.

Thanks

Yes, that's what I mean.

Ask for help with specific reference to your code.

I assume that you are doing this for a one-off website? Or are you
entertaining the idea of doing development more seriously?

At the moment I am developing this website for my husbands business. The
company that we had originally start it wanted too much money to update it and
we want to update often. I taught myself the basics, but I really know nothing
about code. I tried the dummy page and then inserting it into the template,
but that didn't seem to work quite right. Is there a location I can go and
find some easy to follow instructions?

I really do appreciate your help.

Then you haven't learned the basics. If you want to make changes to a site
that represents your business to the public without knowing anything about
code, then you do so at your own risk.

Here would be best. Upload your dummy page and post a link to it, please.

Well, Dreamweaver makes the program so you don't have to know anything about
the code. I appreciate the help, but not the downgrading remarks. I realize
that keeping up this site is at my own risk. So far the site is running and
people can access it and we think it looks good.

http://www.troyshuntclub.com/Dummy.html

Here's the site! I have a feeling it has to do with the location of the files
saved on the server.

The remarks were not downgrading. They were sincere advice.

Your page doesn't appear at all in IE6. It's simply blank.

Your error is related to this call -

<script type="text/javascript">AC_FL_RunContent

which is expecting to find that AC_FL_RunContent() function defined in the
head of the page. But it's not there, because this link in the head -

<script src="../Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js"
type="text/javascript"></script>

is either to an incorrect location, or is to a file that has not been
uploaded. The link itself suggests that your site has not been defined
properly since it directs going up one folder to find the Scripts folder.
But you are already at the root level of the site, so there is no "up one
folder" action possible....

The truth of the matter is that if you do not know anything about the code,
your experience with DW will be a stumble from one mysterious error message
(like this one) to the next. You simply cannot effectively use this product
in any productive way without knowing something about the code.

So far I have done well. If I wasn't so ambitious I wouldn't even be trying to
add a video to the site. I have been using AOL and Internet Explorer to

Ok...so I ordered the book, read most of it..learned alot..thanks....but still
