Eudora 6.0 - Mac Applications & Software

I just upgraded from Eudora 5.2 to 6.0. I have been using Eudora for years on both the Mac and my PC's. I have been very happy with it and have built up a huge list of spam filters and whitelist filters. Coincidentally I had deleted the spam filters since I had pretty much completed a White List, and considered everything left in the In box to be probable spam, and just perused the In box for non-spams. This strategy has worked well for me since I average 250 or 300 emails a day, 40-60% of which are spam. I ...

    Default Eudora 6.0

I just upgraded from Eudora 5.2 to 6.0.

I have been using Eudora for years on both the Mac and my PC's. I have
been very happy with it and have built up a huge list of spam filters
and whitelist filters. Coincidentally I had deleted the spam filters
since I had pretty much completed a White List, and considered
everything left in the In box to be probable spam, and just perused the
In box for non-spams. This strategy has worked well for me since I
average 250 or 300 emails a day, 40-60% of which are spam.

I upgraded to Eudora 6.0 on the Mac then I retrieved my email sans spam
filters. I noticed that I didn't see any spam then I saw the new Junk
mail feature. It caught every one of the various spams and PC Viruses
correctly and sent them to the Junk mail box. I checked and deleted
about 120 of them after a quick perusal. No "Valid" emails were sent to
the Junk Box and all my white list filters were retained during the
upgrade. Later a sales pitch did make it to my In box and that message
was selected and noted as Junk via a simple menu command.

The creating of spam filters in Eudora is somewhat tedious but with the
new Junk feature it is a lot easier to mark email as Junk, peruse the
Junk box occasionally and delete the junk.

The only glitch so far is that some messages appear to be truncated in
the Mailbox view but when you open the email by double clicking it is
    all there.

That is the new "concentrator" feature. See the "content concentrator"
    settings pane.

The idea is that Eudora automagically removes stuff you didn't need to
    see....like signatures and excessive quotes.
