excelproblem - ASP Database

Hello I have a exceldoent im trying to insert to, and in the exceldoent ive selected whole column and picked "text" as datatype, but it says: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e57' The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add.     Hello

    well, i opened up file in excel and typed in a couple of hundreds of chars,
    and through asp it cant get in more than 255 in same column.......

    Are you using ODBC/DSN?

    I'm not sure then. Someone else in the newsgroup might have an idea. I
    always use access or SQL server so I have very little to do with excel.
