Expanding shape or Text in Illustrator CS
Anyone know how to expand text or a shape in Illustrator CS? I am creating a logo using the font "Capitals" (Mac font) but need the fill to be more expanded then the font allows. I have tried Object > Expand but is seems not to do much of anything. I am looking for a super "Bold" type of effect. Like fattening up the Letter "N" as in this example <http://www.visi.com/~tmarx/images/ex.html> Capitals is supposedly the font used in this logo.
Any suggestions?

Re: Expanding shape or Text in Illustrator CS
Todd,
You could Create Outlines and then manipulate the anchor points to change
the shape of the glyph - or you could start off with a more appropriate font
for the shape you want!

Re: Expanding shape or Text in Illustrator CS
Not sure in CS, but in CS5, choose your text, go to the "type" menu, and choose "create outlines" if you haven't yet.
And then go to your stroke window (Window - stroke) and adjust your stroke width accordinglyUnregistered Guest
