Default Export EPS Files with Printer Marks!

Is it possible to export an Adobe In-Design File as an EPS with ALL printer marks?
I export the file as an EPS, then use Adobe Acrobat Distiller to convert to PDF1Xa file.
    Thanks!

Why not just export to .pdf right away? CS allows you to place printer marks on the .pdfs when you export them right out of program (and they already have the .pdf presets installed).

Or, print to a PostScript file (with the Adobe PDF (ID CS) or Acrobat Distiller (ID 2.0) PPD) instead of exporting as an EPS.

When I export as A PDF directly from InDesign, I get "stitching", a thin small box around each image. When I export the file as an EPS, then use the distiller to convert to a PDF1Xa file, I don't get any stitching.
If there is a way to prevent the stitching directly from Indesign, I'd love to hear it.

The export to EPS and the export to PDF with Acrobat 4 compatibility
should give you the same stitching effect.

In either case, it shouldn't print and won't show up on screen in
Acrobat if you turn off smooth line art.

The only way to avoid it is to export with Acrobat 5 or 6 compatibility.

I highly recommend this route since it causes the flattening to happen
at the last possible moment in the workflow. Just make sure you're using
a printer that knows what they're doing.

I know of at least one major printer that will not accept pdfs from Indy,
    but will accept eps.

I cannot talk them out of it, and two magazines I do go to them for at
least the next six months. It would be nice to have the various marks/bars
    in the eps files.

Yes, I have a magazine that does that too. They're a little slow on upgrading their equipment. At least we don't have to make film anymore. Computer-to-plate, is awesome!

You can export to PDF, and then use Adobe Acrobat to generate EPSs for
    each page.

....and have the files rejected, because they went through pdf format.

They are blaming this on their Creo workflow. Anyone have any thoughts?

First thought. Please turn off the autoquote in your newsreaders.

Second thought. Replace the printer if at all possible. That "major"
printer you talk of isn't going to be a "major" printer for long
    refusing PDFs.
