Export indd. doc to PDF and translate all colours to Pantone
Hi,
I have RGB excel charts as imported graphics in my InDesign document. When exporting I want to convert all colours to just be two specific Pantone colours. I have matched the colour in excel with the exact blend RGB of the Pantone colour I want. So far so good when it comes to matching colours - but I can't seem to find the export setting to export in only Pantone colour. Any ideas?

Lisa,
Spot colors can only be output by actually using them in the document. There is no automatic RGB-to-Pantone conversion available at output.

Re: Export indd. doc to PDF and translate all colours to Pantone
You might try making a pure red (for example) in MS Office and then when that pure red swatch appears in InDesign, redefine the swatch as your PANTONE color. But this all depends on how you are placing the chart.
You really need something like Illustrator to color the charts before you place them in InDesign.

Exactly. Personally, I prefer Corel Draw but the idea is the same.
Copy/paste (in CD use paste special and experiment til you get the best
result) and change the colors there.
Save as EPS or AI and place in ID. This will also give you opportunity
to tweak the chart in ways that Excel won't let you.
