Export numerical luminosity values?
Hope this isn't to far off-topic. Does anyone know how to get a list of the numerical luminosity values for an image. For example, if we have an image that is 1x1000 pixels it would be really useful to be able to generate a numerical list of the luminosity values for each pixel.
Alternatively, anyone know of an image analysis sotware that can do this same function on a Mac?
Thanks, Tim

How does luminosity differ from brightness in Photoshop? It would seem that both terms describe the same quality. Bill P -

Re: Export numerical luminosity values?
What in the world for?
And what would you use a 1 x 1000 pixel file for?
Even for a relatively small file that will be a long list.
