Default export sliced image and spacer image

    Greets,

I build my website interface in FW slice it up but I leave a large space open where I will put text in using Frontpage 02. So what I am exporting to FP is a image that has the top horizontal area sliced and left vertical area sliced. The bottom right is not sliced and will hold text when I edit in FP. When I export out of FW I uncheck "inclued areas without slices". However when I open it the exported HTML in FP I see the "blank" bottom right section is in fact spacer.gif. If I delete that spacer and add text I run the risk of loosing the text next time I update the image slices and export again to FP.

Question 1: How can I export only slices and NO Spacer images.

Question 2. I have just learned the trick of slicing that lower right area, exporting to FP then deleting that lower right slice/graphic and setting the background image for that cell to the file/slice. Very slick. Is there a way for FW to code in the background like <td background=/images/xxx.gif>? Again I am worried about loosing my text on the FP (or DW) side of things.

    thanks
    jack

Default Re: export sliced image and spacer image

    Hello,

Try creating an HTML slice on the area that you want to add in text in FP.
The HTML slice when exported becomes an empty table cell instead of an
image. To do this: make a big slice on the the area you want your text, in
the properties inspector change the "Type" to HTML. Export the PNG as usual
    and import it in FP.

    I hope this helps.
