    I am having the same problems with a Fireworks MX pop up menu in both Front Page and Dreamweaver MX. It works perfectly when I insert the Fireworks HTML in one page but as soon as repeat the process on other pages I get a variety of "run time" errors and the 'pop ups' disappear. It's driving me mad - if anyone can help I'd be grateful.

    The answer to both these problems will always be found in the code. Can I
    see a representative page from you both?

    The errors usually mean that you have forgotten to upload the javascript
    files.

    I need to see the page on which the rollover is not working. I need to see
    it not work, and to look at the underlying code.

    I use both FP and Dreamweaver - some things are easier in FP and others in DW - I still get same runtime errors in DW

    I will try and upload the same page using DW

    Mark:

    Thanks - the problem is that using the two programs to edit a single page
    leaves such a huge FP footprint on the page it is hard to then sort through
    things.

    But the major problems are a) you have no embedded js code describing how to
    build your FW pop-up menus, b) you have no link to the mm_menu.js file that
    contains the guts of the code required to build them on the page, and c)
    your call to the mmLoadMenus() function that is part of the mm_menu.js file
    is in a table cell, which results in the menus being built in a table ->
    layers in tables, and that's bad code period. This renders the menus
    completely broken. In fact, there is no supporting javascript on the page
    at all for any of the page's functions.

    In addition there is a huge table on the page. All in all, I'd say this one
    is not a keeper.

    Here is the code on the page -

    <html>

    <head>
    <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
    <meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
    <title>New Page 1</title>
    </head>

    <body>

    <p>
    <a href="#" onMouseOut="MM_nbGroup('out');"
    onMouseOver="MM_nbGroup('over','button202','button %202_f2.gif','button%202_f
    4.gif',1);"
    onClick="MM_nbGroup('down','navbar1','button202',' button%202_f3.gif',1);">
    <img name="button202" src="bttntst/button%202.gif" border="0" alt
    width="225" height="44"></a></p>

    </body>

    </html>

    Note that there is no javascript in the head. This means that when the
    mouseover behaviors are called, the javascript function being called is
    missing, and this is what causes your errors.

    To make this page work, you will need the functions for MM_nbGroup() to be
    declared in the head of the document. When FW writes its HTML, those
    functions *are* there. When you use the INSERT | Image Objects > Fireworks
    HTML menu option in DMX2004, those functions are brought into the page. Why
    are they not on your page? I can only assume that there has been a mistake
    somewhere (did you copy and paste the code?) that has caused them to be
    deleted.

    The solution would be to either a) re-import the FW HTML, or b) find this
    function in some other page and paste it into the head of the document.
