Re: Export to PDF font problem.
Problem font: Adobe Garamond (T1) Semibold ( put into Small Caps) PostScript Type 1
Suitcase 11.0.4.0223
PDF viewed with Acrobat 6.02.
Export from InDesign CS-2 as pdf, get the following error:
"AGaramond-Semibold SC: This font could not be embedded because it is missing its font outline file. Adobe Acrobat requires the outline file to be installed for correct viewing and printing of this file. View additional errors?" No Cancel Yes

Looks like you have the screen but not the printer font (each font has these two parts unless they are true type fonts).
Can you get a hold of a different copy of that font?

More info: The problem seems to be related to Small Caps, with Adobe Garamond (T1) Semibold only. All other forms of the font work.
Maybe just the Semibold is corrupted?

Could be. Usually I just replace the offending font with something similar (Use Adobe Caslon instead of Caslon, etc.) and see if that eliminates the problem.

Are you using true Small caps?
In the font you are using you are missing the postscript version of the semibold small caps. So if your calling the actual font true small cap it is missing.
If you are creating the small cap i.e. attribute the program creates the small cap by Changing the size and the width.
