Export to PNG / TT Symbol font
I have an iBook with MS Word for OS X and Adobe Illustrator CS. Word seems to use the True Type Symbol font for plus and equals signs. I want to use True Type Symbol plus and equals signs in an Illustrator file so that the font in the picture will match my formulas in MS Word. When I export my drawing in Illustrator to a .png file the plus and equals are turned into a astrisk and semi-colon respectively. In fact any text in TT Symbol gets messed up when I export to .png.
However if I use the Adobe Symbol font in Illustrator everything works out fine when I export. Only problem is that font doesn't match the one in Word's equation editor.
If I use TT Symbol in Illustrator and export to a .jpg then there are no problems either. But the .jpg files are bigger than the .png files.
Whats happening with the .png files on export? What should I do?
Thank you,
Peter

Re: Export to PNG / TT Symbol font
If you have Photoshop, you can try rasterizing the file, then saving as PNG from Photoshop.
