Export to wpg
We have a fairly simple object filled with a linear gradient fill which we wish to use as a logo.
The image exists as a Freehand 8 document but we need to convert this to Windows Metafile to use in Word/Publisher etc.
Freehand's WPG exporter makes quite a mess of it as does it's EMF exporter. Each line of the fill ends up as a seperate object.
Does anyone know of a way of successfully exports to WMF/EMF from Freehand 8? Alternatively, is their an effective way of transfering from Freehand 8 to Corel Draw 7 which usually does a better job of producing windows metafiles? I've had most success using FH8's Adobe Illustrator 88 exporter but although I end up with a correctly filled object the colour are wrong. I also have access to Canvas 7 but again, getting the image out of Freehand is problematic.
Thanks for any thoughts,
With Kind Regards,
Paul.

AFAICT, WMF files are crap for anything but the most basic of vector images.
They just don't handle gradients well at all.
I'd suggest just saving it out as a TIF and using that. Or, remove the
gradient from the logo (gradients in logos can be tricky anyways when you
need to start printing it professionally)
