Exporting 1000s of pages of tables from .pdf to .xls - Adobe Acrobat Windows

I created a .pdf with 1000s of pages of data. Tragically enough, someone decided to "lose" the master copy of the .xls it was created from... obviously, I'm trying to create an .xls from this .pdf. Now, I understand how to export a single page of table to .xls; however, there is no apparent option (to me, anyway) for exporting 3000 pages of tables to a single .xls - if I were to do each page the way I described above, it would take a full day of work that I do not have to spare. I'm using version 5.05 ...

If you view the PDF in continuous page mode you can select the whole PDF and copy into the application of choice - Excelor Word.

I would be very surprised though if this task only took one day tables copied from PDF into Excel are rarely keep their tabulation.

Some people claim to save as HTML and then go to Word or Excel - worth a try.

There are also some some 3rd party apps that claim to do this - ScanSoft make one for instance. But definitely try before you buy as the results are likely to be equally poor.

    Thank you for the suggestions.

We attempted to select the whole doent and paste into excel and word - but this didn't work out quite as planned. The original tables in the .pdf were arranged with 3 columns each, 1 table per page. After a couple of errors, the data ended up pasting all into one column (in excel), where the columns 1,2, and 3 back in the .pdf were arranged in order. Then, it would go to the next page and repeat the same arangement.

How can you save as HTML in 5.05? There really isn't any option for this in terms of saving or exporting.

    Thanks.

You might have a look at BCL Jade: <http://www.pdfstore.com/details.asp?ProdID=21>

I tried the Jade plug in yesterday. Works pretty good, however I was having a problem, grabbing all the tables at one time. I could only copy and paste tables, one page at a time.
