exporting an image to disc
I have developed an excercise for students where they design their own logo type thing on screen.
How can they then export that file and save it to the harddrive for reuse later?
I have used an xtra to print out a screen shot but is their something similar that would do the same for part of the screen and just allow them to save it?
Thanks advance
Best wishes
Bill

Re: exporting an image to disc
There is an Xtra called ScrnXtra which is free (fits most budgets!) and I've used it. You can save the file to disk using it. If you want to give the user the ability to save wherever they want on the harddrive, then you can use another Xtra called FileXtra 4.0 by the same guy who created ScrnXtra. Again, it's free. Or you can use BuddyAPI if you have the budget or are only using a couple of the commands. The free version allows you to use any two functions in a program.
ScrnXtra and FileXtra can be found at http://kblab.net/xtras/
Comes with documentation.
A warning: During authoring the screen capture Xtra doesn't capture the proper coordinates or something, so make sure your code is correct. Testing during runtime will show you that it does capture the proper coordinates. Seems to be a bug during authoring.
