exporting as pdf with imported PS images
Wondering why I can't export my FH doc as a pdf without losing the images I had
imported into the doc? I export to Illustrator, then can save as pdf finding
the document unchanged this way...there must be a better way.

FreeHand's PDF export is quite limited. See this technote, especially the
last section, 'FreeHand features not supported in PDF export'.

Remember that PDF is a proprietary Adobe format. Adobe holds the keys to the
PDF kingdom. :-/
