    Default Exporting EPS with Transparency

I tried to export an indesign file as an eps, but it does not show the transparency when it is finished. Does anyone know how to fix this? I know it needs to be flattened, but is there anything esle? Thanks.

EPS does not support transparency at all. What exactly are you trying to
    achieve here?

Well I made a banner in idesign so that is what it is saved in, but my coworker wants to send out an eps file and a PDF file. The PDF file works fine. Why they need both I don't know. So I thought I could just export it as EPS. Does it support tints? I don't know if that would make a difference.

    Yes, it supports tints.

FWIW, whenever I get a request for EPS files, I export a PDF and then
    create the EPS from Acrobat.

That way ID to PDF can take care of any downsampling and color conversions.
