Exporting Fireworks HTML into Dreamweaver MX

I designed a pop-up menu in Fireworks and exported the slice as Dreamweaver HTML. When I have tried inserting the HTML and copying to the clipboard and pasting the Fireworks HTML into my Dreamweaver design and when I preview the results in the browser I do not get any of the Dynamic functions of the pop-up menu? When I place the actual Fireworks HTML file onto mys server, it woks just fine. Why can't I get the DHTML to function in my design? I am inserting it into a table, should I use a layer? Help!

I am new to Dreamweaver and Fireworks and am having a similar problem with a Fireworks nav bar I created. I export it into my Dreamweaver sites folder, then click the "insert fireworks html" button on the common tool bar and it inserts the bar. The problem is the buttons' images are not there. The links look fine, but no button images. When I preview it, the bottons in the nav bar are replaced with the small red x's. Sorry I do not have an answer for you, but maybe you have already fixed your problem and might have some ideas about mine. ck.
