Exporting Lots of Text
Hi,
I am using InDesign (as part of CS2 for the Mac) on a G5 Quad Power Mac with 4.5 GB RAM running OS 10.4.7
I have a 60 page document and would like to select all the frames containing text and export the text to a format that can then be opened in an application such as Microsoft Word.
Does anybody know how I might be able to achieve this?
Any help offered would be greatly appreciated
Many Thanks
Neil

Re: Exporting Lots of Text
Hi Neil--
You can use the InDesign example script ExportAllStories.jsx (which you can find in an archive containing all of the other example scripts at:
<http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/xml_scripting.html>
This script exports each story as a separate file, and can export as InDesign tagged text, RTF, or text-only.
You might also take a look at Rorohiko's TextExporter script, at:
<http://www.lightningbrain.com/frame-pages/r-textexporter.html>
This one exports all stories to a single file.
Thanks,
Ole
