Default exporting PDF to a word document

I am trying desperately to make a 545 pg PDF into a 545 pg Word document.... yet, every time I export as such I am randomly missing as many as 5 pages.... what do I need to do differently?

Are you sure that the pages are missing? It may be that there is text reflow that is shortening the number of pages.

The other thing is that it is that the pictures that were on the pdf are also missing

Are the missing pages simply large inserted pictures (such as a scan)?

When you do a "Save As" and choose Microsoft Word document, you'll see a button for settings. Click on that button and you'll have a menu where you can select to include images or not. Make sure that is selected.

If you have 5 out of 545 missing I would actually think that was good!
Seriously, Adobe has now removed the export option from the main task
based panels which are visible inside Acrobat - version 9 does not have
them. My thought, the word conversion is too reliant on the original
conversion (Acrobat version, tagging, PDF Maker etc) and many, many
conversions are pretty bad (although not totally Adobes fault due to the
advent of so many clones and bad PDF convertors / postscript as opposed
    to pure PDF libraries) ..
