Default Exporting styles settings to .txt

    Hello everyone,

I am using InDesign 3.0 under Windows XP on a 1.6 Ghz Pentium machine with 512MB RAM.
I have several styles I would like to copy the style settings from to a text file. When I double click on any style, I get a window showing all the settings for that particular style in the area under "Style settings:". I've tried selecting this text with the mouse cursor to do a C/P to another ID publication but nothing happens when I attempt to select it.
Is there another way to copy and paste or export the text from each style?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

    Gabriel

    Gabriel.

Are you talking about moving paragraph/character styles from one document to
    another?

If you are, just go into the target document, style menu, Load Styles and
select the document you want to copy them from.

No Ken, I know how to load the styles from another document. I only want the text shown in the window copied for my own personal use.

    For example:
Body text + next:[Same style] + Bold + size: 14 pt + leading : 28 pt + color: PANTONE 282 CV + align: flush left + right indent: 0 in + tabs: count = 5, [position: 2.375in, alignment: right] [position: 2.5 in, alignment: left] [position: 3.833 in, alignment: center] [position: 6.6667 in, alignment: right] + space after: 0.1667 in

I'd like to copy all that stuff from each of my styles and make a new InDesign publication with all that text in it but each paragraph will be using the style described in the text to show an example of what the style looks like.
