Ext. Manager for DM-MX...Can't update to 1.6
I'm trying to update my exntension manager for DM MX. On Adobe's website, it
says I need to download v 1.6. I've done that, at least a dozen times,
restarted, all kinds of things, and I get the following error...
The operation could not be completed. An unexpected orror occurred (error code
10660.
I need to find a way to create flyout or drop down menus, and there are
several DW extensions that allow this, but i can't install any of the
extensions because they all say I need an extension update. PLEASE HELP!!

What is the specific error/alert message that you are getting that you refer to when you say: "... i can't install any of the extensions because they all say I need an extension update."> I need to find a way to create flyout or drop down menus, and there are

Re: Ext. Manager for DM-MX...Can't update to 1.6
Thanks for your reply. I kept playing with the Extension Manager.... I finally
got 1.7 to install. Not sure why that one worked. It's not designated for this
version of DW MX. But once it installed, I double clicked on an extension to
create flyouts and got the following:
"The installer file is invalid. The extension will not be installed."
I'm getting this message on ANY extension I try to install, even before the
Extension manager upgrade. I'm so frustrated, I've even tried to upgrade to
CS4, but I run a Mac Powerbook G4, and the upgrade requires a G5. As the sales
and tech support guys said, "You're stuck."
Basically, I just need to create some flyout/drop down menus. I don't care HOW
they get created! Even if you know of some outside web based software...
anything! I keep running into dead ends.

I suppose that if you want to stay in the Dreamweaver realm, you could take a look at the Spry Menu Bar widget:> Basically, I just need to create some flyout/drop down menus. I don't care HOW
