Ext Mgr won't recognize which DW version I'm using

I had DW MX2004, then installed DW 8 (I know I'm two or three versions behind,
but this is a work computer and I get what they buy me). Anyway, the DW 8 got
installed on top of MX2004, so both are on this machine now. When I open
Extension manager, it only shows MX2004 in the little dropdown box. This is a
problem because I have a couple of extensions which only work in version 8 or
higher. So how can I get it to recognize my current version?

In the past the following has worked for people experiencing this issue:
Open Dreamweaver 8
Then open Extension Manager
