Extending Contribute - is it possible?

Hi folks,

My client is using Readspeaker to allow for text->speech
([url]http://readspeaker.episerverhotell.net/default.aspx?id=219[/url])

To link Reaspeaker to pdfs, pdf links must be duplicated, and prefixed with a
Readspeaker url, something like this:

Normal pdf link:
[url]http://www.ayrshirehousing.org.uk/documents/communitymembersjan05.pdf[/url]
Reaspeaker pdf link:
[url]http://asp.readspeaker.net/cgi-bin/pdfenrsnav?url=www.ayrshirehousing.org.uk/doc[/url]
uments/communitymembersjan05.pdf

Is there any way that Contribute could be set up to automatically duplicat PDF
links, and add the 'http://asp.readspeaker.net/cgi-bin/pdfenrsnav?url=' prefix
to them? Can you add options to the Insert menu?
