Extension Manager not recognizing Dreamweaver
Hi everyone,
I am on a Mac G5 with Panther installed, and for some reason, my Macromedia
Extension Manager isn't recognizing that I have Dreamweaver MX 2004 installed.
Oddly enough, it DOES recognize my other MX Studio 2004 products...it just
doesn't "see" Dreamweaver and when I go to install an extension it tells me
that I must have Dreamweaver MX 2004 to continue (which I do...).
Is there a bug somewhere with the Mac version of this thing? I downloaded the
most recent version just this morning to make sure that wasn't the problem. I
never ran across this problem on my old iMac, just on the new machine.
Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Re: Extension Manager not recognizing Dreamweaver
Didn't help here. The extention Manager will not install any dreamweaver extension but it see flash and fireworks. I'm on a Mac running 10.3.8.

Re: Extension Manager not recognizing Dreamweaver
Had the same problem with Panther, Dreamweaver and the Extension Manager.
Problem didn't go away with Ken's solution. But, I followed it another step,
and closed the Extension Manager, opened Dreamweaver, and re-opened the
Extension Manager. THEN, it saw Dreamweaver right away.

Extension Manager not recognizing Dreamweaver
Extension manger is not recognizing Dreamweaver CS3, It did have Dreamweaver
8, but after I un-installed that, CS3 did not show up. When I try to install
an extension, EM tells me that I have to have Dreamweaver MX or greater. The
EM version number is 1.8.169.

Re: Extension Manager not recognizing Dreamweaver
Try launching Dreamweaver CS3 first, then launch the EM. Sometimes the EM doesn't find Dreamweaver unless it's running.
