extension manager wont install extensions

I have the extension manager ver 1.6.062 and i just downloaded a few extension,
but they wont install.
I have an iMac G5 with tiger 10.4.2
can anyone tell me why the extensions won't install, i downloaded that ones
that say win/mac

When you say "won't install" what exactly do you mean by that? If you
mean that you cannot select a MXP from within EM using File -> Install,
then i believe that you need to navigate to the MXP in Finder and then
double click on the MXP. You may need to have EM open at the time but
not sure.

If that is not the issue, then please explain exactly what is going on?

sorry abou that:
ok i have dreamweaver MX 7.0.1 running on an iMac G5 w/Tiger 10.4.2
the extension manager ver 1.6.062
and this is the issue
I downloaded about 10 dreamweaver extension
now when i try to install any of those extension nothing happened.
I tried by double clicking the extension, by dragging the extension to the
extension manager and by going to the install extension on the file menu and
nothing works.
i get like a progress bar but it dissapears and noting happens.
and thats the problem.

I am having the same issue. The actual error message is "This extension
requires the following products: Dreamweaver MX or greater.The extension will
not be installed."

I am running a Powerbook with Tiger 10.4.2 and Dreamweaver 7.01.

Any insight to this would be great.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I'm running on Panther 10.3.9 and
Dreamweaver 7.0.1.

Is there no solution available..?

I have reinstalled and re registered. This still did not make a difference.
I tried this at least 3 times.

How ever, I did validate that when I removed 10.4.2 that I was able to install
the extensions.

I should have mentioned that I have Panther 10.3.9.

I tried all of these and did not work, EM kept crashing. But this did work:

??Quit DW and EM
??drag extensions in user library to the desktop
(library>application support>macromedia>dreamweaver>configuration>exten sions)
??Launch DW
??Double click mxp file
??Extension installed
??quit DW
??place new extension in the newly generated extensions folder in the
extensions folder on the desktop
??replace extensions folder in library with desktop extension folder

Sounds crazy but no crazier than reinstalling DW. And it did work, in fact I
think I had to do this before.
