Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
If the images are on their own layers, you can export Layers to files.

Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
If they are already in layers, just give the layers meaningful names and
select "Layers to files" in the export dialogue.
Good luck!

Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
Thanks ..
I tried that but...
the psd image i have has over 30 layers on it , so i thought i would end up with 30 files ...
but it seems i only end up with just 1 file thats exactly the same as the psd image ?
I realise if i have for example 10 slices i get 10 files , should this not be the same for layers or am i doing something wrong :)
Thanks again for your help , you have been great :)
Kind Regards
Carl

Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
Are you sure you actually have LAYERS (folders) or do you just have objects
(look like photoshop layers, but they are NOT).

Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
If you click the new layer button, and you make a new layer, does the folder
icon you get look like your objects that you think are layers? My guess
would be not. You'll need to put each object into a real,
honest-to-goodness layer before this will work.

Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
When you look at the Layers panel in FW, how many instances of the word
Layer do you see there? If I have lots of layers, I'll see Layer1, Layer2,
Layer3, etc.

Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
You must not name your layers when you create them, then. I use lots of
layers, and I never see the word layer in my layers panel.

Re: extracting psd images into seperate files
Amy:
It was an example, not a recommendation. I get the sense that the op
doesn't understand how to identify a layer in the layer panel.
