Default Extreme 3d 2, insufficient ram to launch app.

Since my Extreme 3d came in the Freehand suite I decided to post my problem
here. When starting Extreme 3d 2 I receive an error stating; Insufficient RAM
to launch application. I have 1GB ram so that is not the problem. Does anyone
    know how to fix this?

Wow - been a long-time since I thought about Extreme 3D, was fun as I
    recall.

It's an old app and your problem sounds similar to one I've read about with
other old apps. Conversely it might be that you have too much RAM. Extreme
3D can't understand it, for various techie reasons. I think I saw this
posted about Corel Painter 3.1 - then MetaCreation Painter - long-time ago.

I haven't researched it but if you're running it under WinXP then you might
be able to configure it to run - find the exe program, right click on it
select properties then go to compatibility tab.

Might work. If not then Blender is a neat 3D app and 100% free!!! Cinema4D
is a good choice for a reasonably priced, powerful and expandable package
for 3D work. If you're on a budget then look at E-on's Vue d'Espirit; can do
    a lot more than landscapes.
