Extrude and Bevel Problem

    Default Extrude and Bevel Problem

I am hoping you all can give me some answers. I drew some gates (imagine the perly ones) and used the extrude and bevel effect on them. The perspective is set at 35% and the depth at 1% and I used the hollow option. When the effect gets added to the gate it fades some of the detail a lot. So much so that when I print them out I have white lines where part of the gates should be.

The gates are part of a complicated image that involves the gates fading into a tree. These white lines in my print out are killing me - and the client wants to see a final! Any help would be much appreciated it.

    Thanks.

Shara, could you post a link to an image or screenshot of the problem are of the art? Would be great to see how does it look. Maybe, it can be worked around without using the bitmap effects.
