F keys in InDesign
How do I assign a paragraph style to an F key like it is in Quark? I have gone to the style and tried to key in the F key into the shortcut box and nothing happens.

You don't. You use the numeric keypad with modifiers.
The only workaround to not using those keys would be to write scripts to
assign each style and assign a different KSC to those.

That works! But one glitch. I closed the doc with the commands and opened it back up and the commands have dissapeared. How do I save them?

They shouldn't have disappeared. Do they show up in the styles palettes?
What if you open the file on a different machine?
